Case Farms’ Health Fair to Offer Free Screenings and Health Information to Employees
Case Farms ensures good health is a top priority at annual Family Day celebration
WINESBURG, OHIO – July 30, 2018 – Case Farms, a fully integrated poultry farming and processing group, will be presenting their first Health Fair alongside the Company’s annual Family Day at Clays Park Resort on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. At the Fair, Case Farms employees and families will learn how to stay healthy and safe through interactive learning and preventative health checks, as well as have the opportunity to receive free health services and screenings.
“We are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with so many local businesses to host our first Health Fair,” said Diane Lyons, LPN, Occupational Health at Case Farms. “This event will truly benefit our employees and help them take care of themselves and their families.”
Numerous local agencies will be onsite to provide a variety of free health information and screenings to Case Farms employees and their families. Services offered include:
Free eye exams provided by The College of Optometry at The Ohio State University
The Breast and Cervical Cancer Project Northeast Ohio BCCP joined by Dr. Jorge Romero MD of The Canton Women’s Center and Tiffany Breast Care Center will provide free mammograms and cervical cancer screening.
Free oral cancer screenings for adults and fluoride application for children 18 and under provided by Mercy Medical Dental Center and assisted by Stark State Dental Hygiene Students.
Free chair massages provided by Stark State Massage Therapy Clinic
Diabetes, weight management and physical therapy educational programming provided by Mercy Medical Center
In additional to the free services provided by local healthcare professionals, many local businesses have pitched in to offer their support. Clay Parks Resort donated the venue for the event, Avalon RV Center of Medina donated Hyper Lite Toy Haulers for the use of exam rooms, James Second Hand Medical donated medical and lab equipment including exam beds, and Santa John, a local professional year-round Santa, is donating his time to encourage children to take advantage of the free dental treatments.
“Thank you to all the local businesses and volunteers who are helping make this a special event for our employees. We wouldn’t be able to host this event if it wasn’t for their generous gifts,” continued Lyons.
An annual tradition, Case Farms has held Family Day picnics for more than fifteen years. Employees and their families are free to enjoy the water park, miniature golf, magic show and lunch provided by Red Beards BBQ throughout the event.
